| Riley Daryn Lammie was born one month ago today at 2:50 a.m. She weighed 5lbs. 12.5 oz. and was 18.5 in. She was diagnosed less than 9 hours after birth as having osteogenesis imperfecta. If you are anything like Patric and I you would know it most likely as brittle bone disease. X-rays showed that she had several healing fractures (both femurs, right tibia possibly fibia as well, and multiple rib fractures). She has Wormian bones in her skull, bowed long bones, frontal bossing of the forehead, and grayish schlera (the whites of her eyes) so we know for a fact that she has OI and not something else. The doctors are certain that it was just a spontaneous gene mutation and we have very little chance of it showing up in a subsequent pregnancy. We have been at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus since late on July 1. I was discharged a day early so I could be with Riley. Next week Riley will be having surgery to have a g-tube (feeding tube) placed directly into her stomach. She is unable to take enough in at a feeding on her own. Hopefully after a few days of healing we will be able to take her home. If everyone could please keep her in your thoughts and prayers over the next two weeks it would mean alot to me. She is absolutely gorgeous. When she smiles nothing else in the world matters. It is hard to accept how life can be so unfair to such a precious little girl. |

| so i don't know what messed up rumors are flying around but there is no underlying reason why i'm engaged. just to clear the air. on an another note it is beautiful outside so i'm going to take the long way to class. bye guys. |
